That’s why my publishing company, Florida Kids Press, has created a program called Get Kids Reading where individuals, businesses, and organizations in any state can sponsor a classroom set of 25 of my books to a school or classroom.

In my 5-book series, I weave history and science into fun, fiction stories for young readers ages 8-12. I create characters that kids can relate to, and I use historic places as my settings. Kids like my books because they’re fun — teachers like them for their educational value.

The Get Kids Reading program allows a recipient school to select 5 copies of each of my 5 titles, or 25 copies of one title. I work with the schools to determine what they prefer.

For a $200 investment plus shipping, you can make a difference and sponsor a classroom set of 25 books.

Schools can’t do it alone — sometimes it takes a village.
