Ghosts on the Coast: A Visit to Savannah and the Low Country
brings another adventure of the ghostly kind to the Johnson family as they explore three historic Southern cities on their summer vacation. Not only do Joey, Bobby and Katy learn some history about Savannah, Charleston and Pawleys Island, South Carolina, but they also encounter numerous ghost stories. Young readers won't know they're learning history; they'll only know they're having fun as they follow these kids on their latest adventure.
Trouble on the St. John's River
Trouble on the St. Johns River is the third in a series of juvenile fiction books written by Jane R. Wood. Her first two books, Voices in St. Augustine (2004) and Adventures on Amelia Island: A Pirate, A Princess, and Buried Treasure (2007) also feature the Johnson family with three kids – two boys, ages nine and thirteen, and a five-year-old little sister. While her first two books infuse local history into stories of mystery and adventure, Wood’s third book has an environmental theme.
